PTO Committees

Be A Volunteer!

We have committees that pop up throughout the year, like for the Fall Fest or Fun Fair. We also have year-long committees that help us get to know each other and make a difference! Click on the titles listed to learn more: the Diversity Committee (DivCo), Green Team, and the Hatch Patch.

Hatch Diversity Committee – DivCo

The D97 DivCo Mission is to support, direct, and encapsulate all District 97 and St. Giles Diversity Committees in creating a district that is welcoming, inclusive, and equitable for all families resulting in academic and social success for every child regardless of race, gender, income, religion, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, and citizenship.

The Hatch DivCo is excited to further the district's mission of welcoming, including and supporting all students with an equity lens. It takes a village, please join us today!

Hatch Grows Green - The Green Team

We are currently looking for volunteers to bring back the Green Team to Hatch. If you are interested in learning more about this position please email us: Green Team Interest.

Prior to the pandemic, the Green Team was for students who would like to learn more about, and participate in, environmentally friendly and conscious activities. It would meet once a month during the lunch hour. Activities include helping with the a used textiles drive, a gently used shoe drive, lending a hand in the Hatch Patch, and making crafts out of recyclable items. To sign up for Green Team please fill out this registration form.

ONE earth film festival 2018

"Hatch Grows and Gives" film earned recognition at the 2018 One Earth Film Fest.

In early 2018, the Green Team partnered with the Hatch Patch (along with video expertise from Mr. Righeimer!) to create a short film titled "Hatch Grows and Gives" that was entered in the One Earth Film Festival. The film shows how the Hatch Patch teaches students about gardening and also donates fresh produce to the local food pantry. The film earned special recognition and was screened at an event during the film festival.

The Hatch Patch

As good stewards of the earth and our environment, Hatch students, faculty, administrators and families spend time in our Hatch Patch garden planting, weeding, and learning all about what it takes to grow your own food.

During the school year we get classes involved, we need a team for helping to teach the kids and we very much need a team to keep the garden going all summer!
