Get ready for our upcoming Book Fair, October 21-23, where every purchase is an investment in our students' future!
Ms. Stringham is doing an amazing job keeping our collection fresh and relevant, but the numbers show just how critical this fair is. Last year, we had to weed out an incredible 1,025 books that were old, damaged, or simply out-of-date. While we added a respectable number of new titles, we're still playing catch-up!
October 21st - 3:00-5:30 PM
October 22nd - 7:30-8:15 AM and 2:30-6:00 PM *New morning hours!
October 23rd - 3:00-6:00 PM
Your district budget for the library is only about $10 per student—a total of around $3,000 for the entire year. This money doesn't just buy books; it has to cover everything:
New Books and Materials
All Technology Equipment and Supplies (like robots for STEM activities)
STEM Project Materials
Essential Library Supplies (labels, barcodes, processing materials)
Regular Classroom Supplies
This limited budget makes it a challenge to replace beloved classics and stock the diverse, high-interest books our students deserve.
That's where the Book Fair comes in! 100% of the proceeds from the fair go directly back to our school library. Join us, find a great read, and help us turn those empty spaces on the shelves into exciting new adventures!
